Terms of service
These terms govern the use of DripFiles (https://dripfiles.com), a file transfer and sharing service. By using the site or accepting these terms, you confirm that you have read and agree to them.
1. The service
DripFiles lets you upload files and share them via a link or email, with options such as expiry, password protection and, where available, premium features.
The service is provided “as is”, with reasonable efforts to keep it available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation (maintenance, network issues, third-party providers, etc.).
2. Account and access
- Some features work without an account; others (for example history or paid plans) may require registration or sign-in.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- You must have legal capacity to accept these terms (at least the age of majority in your country, or a guardian’s authorisation).
3. Allowed and prohibited use
You agree to use the service lawfully and respectfully. You must not, among other things:
- Upload or share illegal content, content that infringes third-party rights, or malware.
- Use the service for spam, phishing, harassment, fraud or unauthorised distribution of protected material.
- Attempt to compromise the security, integrity or availability of the service or other users.
- Abuse automation (aggressive scraping, brute force, deliberate overload).
We may suspend or remove transfers, accounts or access that violate these terms or the law, without prejudice to other remedies.
4. Files, retention and expiry
- You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share it.
- Files may be deleted automatically when they expire, or earlier if abuse is detected or if required by law.
- Do not use the service as the sole backup of critical information.
- After expiry or deletion, recovery is not guaranteed.
6. Privacy and data
We process personal data needed to run the service (for example sender/recipient email, account data, technical and security logs).
- Where EU/EEA or Spanish law applies, we process data in line with the GDPR and applicable national rules.
- You may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability rights via the contact channels below.
- We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures; no system is 100% invulnerable.
7. Intellectual property
You keep the rights to your files. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit and display them only as needed to operate the service.
The brand, design, software and materials of DripFiles are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or exploit them without permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss or outages not caused by our serious fault.
- Our aggregate liability for claims related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or a nominal amount if you paid nothing), except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence where the law does not allow limitation.
- Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
9. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update features, technical limits or these terms. The current version will be published on the site. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance of the new version, unless the law requires explicit consent.
10. Governing law and contact
Unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, these terms are governed by Spanish law. Consumer courts at the consumer’s domicile apply when required by law; otherwise the parties submit to the competent courts of Spain.
